Rutba never changes your site without your approval, unless you turn on Autopilot for a rule. Every change can be undone.
Preview and apply a fix
- Open the site and go to Fix Center.
- Under Issues with an automatic fix, press Preview fix.
- The review page shows each item under Where, Now and Suggested. You can edit the suggested text or untick items you do not want.
- Press Apply … selected, or Discard.
- Rutba applies the change, checks the live site and reports Verified on the live site: … of … pages are fixed.
Fixes need the WordPress plugin connected, or the integration on other sites. Applying fixes needs a paid plan, and fixing many pages at once needs a higher plan. On other plans you can still preview them.
Risk levels
Each change shows its risk level. The higher the level, the more safety steps are taken. When in doubt, Rutba uses the higher level.
- R0 — Read only: reading and crawling only, nothing changes.
- R1 — Low risk: one field on one page, such as a title, description or alt text. The old value is saved and the page is checked. You undo it with one click.
- R2 — Medium risk: article text, internal links, page schema, publishing. A full copy and a WordPress revision are kept. Rolled back automatically if the check fails.
- R3 — High risk: robots.txt, llms.txt, SEO plugin settings, redirects. The file or setting is copied first. The homepage and sample pages must answer normally, Googlebot must still be allowed and the site must not be set to noindex. Otherwise it is rolled back automatically.
- R4 — Critical: installing or updating plugins, themes or WordPress itself. A full backup is taken first, the R3 checks run plus a check for fatal errors and a visual comparison of the homepage, with automatic roll back.
Roll back a change
- Open Change history, open the change and press Roll back.
- Undo today rolls back everything applied today, newest first.
- If WordPress does not open at all, use your emergency link: see Recovery safety net.
Backups
The Backups panel lets you Back up now and Restore. Restoring asks you to type the domain to confirm. How long backups are kept depends on your plan.
