Connect WordPress to Rutba

The Rutba connector plugin lets Rutba read your site in detail and apply the fixes you approve, each with a restore point and a health check.

Before you start

Open the site in Rutba. On Overview, find the WordPress connector panel and press Download plugin. The file is named rutba-connector-<version>.zip.
In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip file and press Install Now, then Activate.

Back in Rutba, press Generate code in the same panel. The Connection code is valid for 15 minutes and works only for this site's domain.

In WordPress open Settings → Rutba.
Paste the code in Connection code.
Under Permissions, choose what Rutba may do. Reading site information is always needed. The others are up to you:
- Edit SEO fields: titles, descriptions, focus keywords, alt text
- Create and edit posts and pages
- Edit robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemaps and redirects
- Install and update plugins (with full backup and automatic rollback)
- Create and restore backups
Press Continue, check the summary on Confirm the connection, then press Connect.
Reload the site page in Rutba. The panel now shows the WordPress and PHP versions, your SEO plugin, the last contact time and the permissions you granted.

You can change permissions later the same way. Rutba never does more than you allowed.

The connection code is invalid or has expired. Generate a new one. Codes last 15 minutes. Generate a new code and paste it right away.
This code belongs to … but the plugin is installed on another domain. Generate the code from the site in Rutba whose address matches the WordPress site exactly.

If you use Rank Math, the site page shows a Rank Math panel:

Apply recommended settings applies the suggested changes as one change, with a health check before and after. You can roll it back at any time.
On plans that include Rank Math Pro, Install Rank Math Pro installs it after a safety copy. It needs the Install and update plugins permission. Then connect the Pro license inside Rank Math.

Test connection and refresh checks that the plugin answers and updates the details.
Disconnect removes the keys. Rutba cannot apply fixes until you connect again. You can also disconnect from WordPress with Disconnect and delete keys.
